It is awe inspiring to contemplate the profound wisdom in the life cycle of the King Salmon.
After leaving their natal streams, they spend two to three years migrating, feeding on anchovies, sardines, smelt and other bait fish.
In the process, they collect within their bodies, all the minerals and nutrients available in the ocean and deposit them back into their original streams as they decay after spawning. These nutrients enrich the watersheds and contribute to the molecular diversity of the rich coastal soils.
What does this have to do with Carvalho Fisheries sale of Wild King Salmon? All of us can also benefit from this nutrient rich fish through consumption.
It is a source of great enrichment to the physical well-being of our customers. We believe it should be part of everyone's diet.
Carvalho Fisheries has an extensive procurement range for Wild King Salmon. Our season begins in late March along the Oregon coast. We follow the boats down into California during the summer months. The Oregon Season continues all the way through November.
